Experts Talk On 'Prioritising Women’s Health'

Extending the International Women’s Day knowledge series, the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Nagpur, organized an engaging and interactive session titled “Prioritising Women’s Health.”

Senior doctors from NCI, Dr. Sunita Ghike and Dr. Maithili Pande, shared valuable insights on health literacy, self-care, and how women can prioritize their own health while continuing to care for others. The session reflected NCI’s commitment to promoting awareness and holistic well-being at one of India’s leading cancer care centres.

Dr. Sunita Ghike spoke on the topic “Women’s Health Across the Life Course: From Birth to Graceful Aging,” while Dr. Maithili Pande shared her thoughts on “Understanding Health My Perspective at 50.”
As healthcare professionals, women often devote themselves wholeheartedly to caring for others. However, it is equally important to remember that self-care is the first step toward fulfilling the commitment to “सेवा सर्वोपरी” (Service is Supreme).

The key takeaway from the session was: “When we care for our own health and well-being, we are better equipped to serve our patients and our community.”
