National Cancer Institute conducted a one-day Masterclass on Lymphomas at their Convention Centre in Jamtha on Sunday, 8th December. This Master Class was organised for medical professionals and students in the field of cancer care to gain detailed knowledge on Lymphomas and about 150 medical professionals Pan-India attended the masterclass.
Medical Oncology experts from around India like Dr. Tanuja Shet, Professor and Head, DM Oncopathology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. B.K. Smruti, Medical Oncologist, Lilawati Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Srinivas Chakravarty, Medical Oncologist and Hematologist, Hyderabad and also Consultants from National Cancer Institute addressed different topics in great detail in the Masterclass. The class concluded with an informative, fun and interactive quiz on Lymphomas conducted. All delegates could thus revise the knowledge gained through the day.
The study material and the faculty presentations were shared digitally with all the participants. The participants gained 2 MMC (Maharashtra Medical Council) credit points for attending the masterclass. The class which began from 8 am concluded by 5 pm in the evening with the distribution of prizes for the quiz. The winners of the quiz received prizes worth 2 lakhs in total as an education grant. Certificates were presented to all the participants.
