International Nurses Day celebrated at National Cancer Institute

National Cancer Institute, celebrated the Nurses Day on 13th May to appreciate the work that Nursing staff is doing in these testing times of COVID -19 pandemic. It was carried out observing all the precautionary norms for COVID-19. Training was given to the Nursing staff by Dr. Sonali Chaudhary on Donning and Doffing of the PPEs provided to the nurses for their safety. The doctors wrote words of appreciation and motivational words for the Nurses. They were addressed and motivated by Dr Anand Pathak, Medical Director and Shri Shailesh Joglekar, CEO and General Secretary on the occassion. Blood Donation Drive is organised every year to commemorate Nurses Day and this year too it was organised in association with Dr Hedgewar Blood Bank taking all precautions against COVID - 19. There was a huge turnout and a larger number of staff turned out to donate blood in these times of need.
