NCI, A Shining Example of Cancer Care: Foreign Dignitaries

On the eve of Dussehra, noted international personalities visited the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Nagpur. The esteemed group comprised religious leaders, high priests, health professional-turned-politicians, economists, Bharat (India) and ASEAN experts, and finance professionals. NCI’s CEO and General Secretary, Shri Shailesh Joglekar, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the idea and efforts behind raising a cancer care institute of global standard. One of the honourable guests, Ida Pandita Agung Putra Nata Siliwangi Manuaba, High Priest (Pedanda), Bali, and Secretary of Hindu Priests Association of Indonesia, presented Shri Joglekar a traditional brooch that he described as “a symbol of love for the leader”. He wished that NCI-like hospitals ​were ​built across the globe for the benefit of mankind.
