For children battling cancer, it is an uncomfortable pause to all their educational, intellectual, social, and physical development. We have seen them facing it with unflinching courage and acceptance of circumstances. This spirit humbled us and led to the creation of Central India’s first and only dedicated ‘Pediatric Cancer Ward’ facility at NCI in 2018. The quaternary cancer care center has taken its first firm step forward for children-related cancers by providing free treatment. The special ward is equipped with NICU, PICU, shared rooms, general beds, play areas, and book corners, and dedicated, skilled staff and renowned experts.
