INTRODUCING OUR CITY

Nagpur, often referred to as the "Orange City," is a vibrant metropolis located in the central part of India, in the state of Maharashtra. MID TERM PHO CME

PHO is a sub-specialty chapter of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics that deals with paediatric hematology oncology. PHO chapter is having more than 1500 members all over the India. Chapter members are actively involved in taking care of children with blood disorders and cancers. PHO hosts two national conferences annually, with the participation of international faculty.

The midterm conference is an annual conference and organized on specific theme. This conference emerges as a vital gathering, uniting healthcare professionals, researchers, and specialists with a shared commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of pediatric blood disorders and cancers. This conference serves as a beacon for the latest research findings, therapeutic breakthroughs, and collaborative efforts aimed at improving outcomes for children facing hematological and oncological challenges.

Organizing Committee

The Organizing Committee of Midterm PHO CME 2024 from National Cancer Institute, Nagpur (NCI) in association with Nagpur Academy of Pediatrics under the guidance of Indian academy of Pediatrics-Pediatric Hematology and Oncology chapter are going to conduct 9th Midterm PHO CME 2024 at National Cancer Institute, Nagpur on 13 & 14th July 2024 with pre -conference workshop on 12th July 2024. Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state has high prevalence of Sickle and Thalassemia. Many of our pediatrician colleagues are taking meticulous care of these kids, along with the pediatric hematologist. As sickle cell disease management progresses, including gene therapy and stem cell transplantation, we believe this CME will assist us in updating and incorporating changes in our clinical practice. The recent researches and advances in pediatric AML management are prompting us to discuss and reshape our practices.

Keeping these facts in mind we kept Sickle cell as our one of the theme of midterm PHO CME along with Pediatric AML
